The journey of Marigold Farmfood began when I was working as an IT Consultant and started noticing a worrying trend around me. Many people were suffering from lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart attacks, and even cancer. What was even more shocking was that these conditions were no longer limited to adults.

I personally came across disturbing cases where teenagers were diagnosed with high blood pressure and diabetes. In another alarming case, a child had suffered a heart attack. These incidents made us question why such serious health conditions were appearing among teenagers and children. While many people believe these issues are due to family history among Indians and others around the world, we felt there had to be deeper reasons behind this growing health crisis.

The founders of Marigold Farmfood began discussing these concerns with experienced healthcare experts. During these discussions, we realized that India has a rich heritage of Ayurveda and ancient traditions, but unfortunately much of this wisdom has gradually lost its presence in modern lifestyles.

As we researched further, we discovered that one of the major contributors to lifestyle diseases across all age groups is the type of cooking oil used in daily food preparation. India has a long history of using wooden ghani (cold-pressed) techniques to extract oils, which preserve their natural nutrients and health benefits. However, modern refining processes have replaced these traditional methods, stripping oils of their natural goodness.

Marigold Farmfood was born out of a desire to revive this lost tradition and bring back pure, unrefined oils to every household. To begin this journey, we started collaborating with a small manufacturing unit in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Over time, we also realized that due to increasing Western influence, many traditional Indian food habits were slowly disappearing. For example, ghee began to be viewed simply as fat, and people forgot about the valuable nutrients and health benefits it offers. Traditional practices such as oil pulling, navel therapy, and oil massage, which were once part of daily wellness routines, have also faded away.

Similarly, ancient grains such as millets were gradually replaced by wheat and other refined foods, often being wrongly considered unhealthy, tasteless, or even animal feed. At Marigold Farmfood, we believe in educating people and helping them rediscover the healthy practices our ancestors followed for generations.

My personal journey has taken me across India, Switzerland, Japan, and the UAE, where these experiences helped me meet people from different cultures while working in the IT industry. Through this journey, I realized that almost every country has ancient knowledge, natural herbs, and traditional practices that have slowly been forgotten over time.

We started with cold-pressed cooking oils, and because of the authenticity and purity of our products, our customers began requesting other chemical-free food essentials used in everyday cooking, such as turmeric, jaggery, and similar natural products.

Our mission is not just to sell products but to educate people about healthy eating and traditional food practices. We are on a journey to bring healthy and organic products into every kitchen, helping people reconnect with the wisdom of natural and traditional living.
